Dr. Emmanuelle Brochiero
Dr. Brochiero is a tenured professor at the Department of Medicine, Université de Montréal and at the Centre de recherche du Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CRCHUM), since 2002. Dr Brochiero received her Ph.D. from the Université de Nice-Sophia-Antipolis, in France (1995) and a post-doctoral training from the Université de Montréal and Centre de Recherche du CHUM (1996-2001).
Her research in the field of respiratory health aimed at understanding the role of potassium channels in the physiology of the respiratory epithelium. More precisely, she studies the role of K+ channels in the repair mechanisms of the injured cystic fibrosis epithelium, in the resolution of lung edema and in lung cancer development.
Dr. André Cantin
Dr. Cantin is a tenured professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Sherbrooke and director of the pulmonology service at the medicine department since 1995. He received his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sherbrooke in 1978 and he continued his training in internal medicine and a pneumology from 1979 to 1983.
His research interests focus on pulmonary inflammation associated with cystic fibrosis and pulmonary fibrosis.
